Bear Run, Ritchie County, West Virginia, USA

Notes: Per email from Mike Spiker on 22 Feb 2017 -- The roads in Ritchie County were recently renamed as part of the improved 911 location system. Bear Run Rd. was one of several roads of the same name in the county. Only one survived. "Our" Bear Run Rd. (WV County Rd 22/2) was renamed "Pleasant Hollow Rd.".

The road begins at the submarine/low water bridge in front of the Spiker farm house in Ritchie County and generally follows the flow of Bear Run Creek for 4+ miles into Doddridge County where it ends.

The creek and the road were so named because a bear was killed up the road from the farm years ago.
